radio video

Language broken is still a language felt.

Radio is an investigation into the words spoken with a current urgency from all around the world. A string of words that have been manipulated so that only partial recognition remains (or is in a language that is not understandable by viewing audience) but that which still bears the emotional tag of the original because it is embedded in the diction of the words, creates a space for the audience to subjectively “understand” it.

The imagery provided is to create the sense of a hypnotic claustrophobia. The video is compressed into a small window-like frame over the viewable area and slowly rocks using a spire as its axis, which puts the viewer on a sea of voices forced to stare into toppled landscape.

It creates a sense of ineptness but allows the viewer to freely digest the audio cues.
